Prenatal Care

All pregnant women have the right to prenatal care provided by a midwife at a health care centre. You can choose whether to see your general practitioner or a midwife. The service is free and meant to ensure that you get counselling and advice so that both you and your child fare as well as possible.

If you are pregnant, you can get a pregnancy check-up at the health care centre. Enquire with the health care centre in your area to schedule an appointment.

The pregnancy check-up will help ensure you remain healthy during your pregnancy. You can also obtain counselling related to marital and parenting issues. Preparatory courses for parents are intended to improve parents’ knowledge and confidence with regard to pregnancy, giving birth and parental leave.
